Naper-Haight House
Previous Owners
This structure was built by Aaron Blank in 1856 or 1857, most likely for newlyweds George and Mary (Thomas) Naper. George was the nephew of Joseph Naper, town founder. In 1866 or 1867, John Haight, a young Naperville attorney, moved his bride Elvira Hobson, daughter of pioneer Bailey Hobson, into the home and lived there several years before it was leased to various families.
Restoration
The restoration of the Naper-Haight House necessitated the disassembly and rebuilding of the structure, which required the dedication of numerous volunteers and area contractors. The house is not open for touring.
