Children in grades 1-5 will enjoy their day off school having fun in these all-new programs! Watch for more details of each day off!

Artful Antics |  Monday, January 19, 2015Little Girl Playing with Green Slime
Express your creativity as we explore visual arts fundamentals and experiment with different techniques in multiple art forms. Today, we remember Martin Luther King’s advocacy of education by challenging our critical thinking skills through the fine arts.

  • Cut and paste to make self-expression collages using recycled magazines and newspapers
  • Design and mold a sculpture out of clay
  • Recite a poem and write on a slate in the Schoolhouse

Happy Birthday, Mr. Lincoln |  Monday, February 16, 2015  
Hats off to you, Mr. Lincoln! A day of celebration for our 16th president filled with party games, crafts and homemade cupcakes!

  • Take part in games pioneer kids like Abe played
  • Visit the log house and later race to build the ultimate log cabin
  • Decorate birthday hats and play Pin the Hat on the President

Slime and Grime  |  Friday, February 27, 2015  
Combine one part science and two parts imagination with some household knowledge, and do you know what you get? A magnificent mess!

  • Mix and measure to make different types of slime
  • Create homemade silly putty to bounce, stretch and copy
  • Explore chemical reactions and make film canisters in rockets with alka seltzer and water

Time: 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Cost: $45 per child
