Discover Naperville in a whole new way as a knowledgeable museum guide leads you on an engaging walk through some of the community's most historic and picturesque neighborhoods. Tickets for all tours must be purchased at the Naper Settlement Visitor Center at least one hour prior to the tour, with advance reservations strongly recommended. Walking tours are at a comfortable pace. Be sure to dress for the weather and bring water. Fees for purchased tickets are non-refundable. Call for tickets.

This guided walking tour of Naperville’s Riverwalk will highlight points of interest including John Naper’s homestead, a former ice cream factory, downtown businesses and Centennial Park. Tour includes over two miles of walking.

For ages teen to adult, The walk begins at the Naper Settlement parking lot at Webster St. and Porter Ave., , Naperville, IL. It will end at the Fireman's Memorial on West Jefferson Ave.

Stories and Stone: A First Person Cemetery Walk

For ages 13 and up as some historical material may be too graphic for younger audiences.

History comes alive as you "meet" Naperville residents from the past in Naperville Cemetery, all with an interesting story to tell. Tickets may be purchased at the Naper Settlement Pre-Emption House Visitor Center the day of the program. Reservations are highly recommended. Tours begin at 2:00 pm. Groups of up to 15 guests will depart for Naperville Cemetery every 30 minutes for a walking experience of approximately one hour; last tour steps off at 3:30 pm.

Railroad Ramble Walking Tour

Reservations recommended.

Hear about the history and influence of rail service in Naperville, including the cultural impact of the railroad on the community. Tour includes about 14 blocks of walking. All ages welcome.

Tour originates at the southwest corner of Burlington Square Park, 307 N. Ellsworth St. Naperville.
