2018 School’s Out Day Camps

Sixties Throwback - CLOSED
Monday, January 15
Travel back to the 1960s for a day of far out fun. Decode phrases like “That flower child’s granny glasses are psychedelic”, watch the Brady Bunch and early superhero cartoons, make love beads, and build a space ship. Complete the day by learning about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and why school’s out today.

Naper Games - CLOSED
Monday, February 19
Test your skills at Naper Games, Naper Settlement’s first ever Winter Olympics showdown. Create your own national costume and Olympic torch while learning about the history of the Olympics. Discover PyeongChang, South Korea where athletes from around the world are contending for the gold medal. Campers will also compete in Olympics-inspired games, including balloon hockey and tug-of-war.

Dr. Seuss Day - CLOSED
Friday, March 2
Celebrate Dr. Seuss’ 114th birthday with a day of green eggs, sneedles, and whos! Read and share your favorite Dr. Seuss books. Play with ooblek, try green eggs and ham, and craft the cat’s hat. Then discover Ted Seuss Geisel, the man behind the zany rhymes and beloved stories. Explore Geisel’s lesser-known works, including his political cartoons.   

Illinois Turns 200 - CLOSED
Wednesday, March 28
Get to know your state with a day dedicated to Illinois’ 200th birthday. Explore Naper Settlement’s historic buildings, experience fun, games and chores from Illinois’ past and present. Test your state trivia, taste uniquely Illinois foods, and hear stories about famous Illinoisans. Complete the celebration with a special Bicentennial snack.

Time: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm 
Drop-off begins at 8:30 am

Cost: $45/program or $40/program when registering for multiple dates at the same time.

If cancelling for any reason, Naper Settlement will retain $15 per single program.

No refund will be given for a cancellation made within two weeks of the program start date (14 days) of program date.
